Keeping Climate Change Focus

On August 18, permafrost on a hillside near the community of Pond Inlet, Nunavut, let go, creating an 80-metre mudslide.

When public discussion on climate change begins to get bogged down on international process and structure of reports, I think about such real changes taking place in our communities.
I have no doubt that our systems for reporting on climate change can be improved. But rather than getting caught up in such discussions, our efforts would be much better spent addressing actual physical changes occurring in places like the Arctic.
