Nellie Kusugak

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Nellie Kusugak on her swearing in as the Deputy Commissioner for Nunavut. The ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Siniktarvik Hotel in Rankin Inlet, Nunavut, at 7:00 EST this evening.
Nellie has been a tireless advocate for the Inuit language and culture both within the educational system and outside of it, and her hard work is deeply appreciated by all Inuit.
The Government of Canada has made a wise choice in appointing Nellie to this position and Inuit will benefit from her guidance as Deputy Commissioner.
