Congratulations Nellie

I would like to congratulate Nellie Kusugak on her appointment as Deputy Commissioner for Nunavut.

Nellie has a long history of work within education and culture in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut and was recently appointed to the Inuit Uqausinginnik Taiguusiliuqtiit, an Inuit Language Authority established under the Nunavut Inuit Language Protection Act.

The Deputy Commissioner assumes the duties of the Territorial Commissioner when he or she is unable to perform their duties and I have no doubt that shewill bring the same committment to that position as she has towards education, language, and culture.
