Media Advisory * ITK President to Sign Protocol Agreement with Rick Hansen Foundation
Ottawa, ON – Twenty-five years to the date of his Man In Motion World Tour entering Ontario, Rick Hansen will return to Ottawa and the surrounding communities to join-up with his cross-Canada Relay, which enters Ottawa on October 26, 2011 after leaving Gatineau, QC the day prior.
As the Rick Hansen 25th Anniversary Relay makes its way across the country, the 12,000 kilometre route that retraces Rick’s original Man In Motion Tour is being completed over the next nine months by 7,000 Canadians who have made a difference in the lives of others.
The Protocol Agreement will be the first of its kind between the Rick Hansen Foundation and a national Aboriginal Group – and is intended to build a strategic alliance to address issues of common interest, inspire hope and create a better future for all.
