National Inuit Leader to meet with Premiers in Churchill, Manitoba

National Inuit Leader Mary Simon, President of Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami, together with leaders of Canada’s four other National Aboriginal Organizations, will meet with Provincial and Territorial Premiers in Churchill Manitoba on Aug. 4 in advance of the Premiers’ annual Council of the Federation meeting.

Topics of discussion will include aboriginal education, aboriginal economic development and violence against aboriginal women.

Simon will be available for interviews immediately following the meeting.
