Cathy Towtongie

Cathy Towtongie first entered politics in 1973 as secretary treasurer of Inuit Tapirisat of Canada. She was elected President of Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. in 2001, stressing policies of accountability and transparency. She was elected president of NTI again in 2010, and will serve in that office until 2012.
