Community Radio in Fort Chimo

On November 27, 1976 the the FM community radio station of Fort Chimo, owned by the community recreation committee, officially opened. With the help of Taqramiut Nipingat the recreation committee purchased FM radio equipment worth about $1,200.00 that was installed by Taqramiut Nipingat.

The station initially broadcast local programming from 5:00 -  10:30 PM daily.
