"Have Fun, Play Safe" Colouring/Activity Book Launched

On May 12, 2010, Mary Simon launched the Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami "Have Fun, Play Safe" Inuktitut colouring and activity book at the Ottawa Inuit Children's Centre.

Guided by two young Inuit cartoon characters, children aged 4-8 complete fun activities designed to promote safe play and inform them of the dangers of smoking.

The colouring/activity book, published in Inuktitut and English, contains pictures and activities representative of all four regions of Inuit Nunangat. It has been distributed to licensed daycare facilities and school boards in each northern community.
