Statement from National Inuit Leader Mary Simon on the Election of Jeannette Corbiere Lavell as President of the Native Womens Association of Canada

 I am delighted to extend my congratulations to Ms. Jeannette Corbiere Lavell on her election as president of the Native Womens Association of Canada. There are many challenges facing Aboriginal peoples in Canada especially aboriginal women. I look forward to working with President Lavell on common issues.
