Child First Initiative

The Child First Initiative is administered by the Government of Canada to ensure Inuit children have access to the health, social and educational products, services and supports they need, such as:

  • medical supplies and equipment
  • mobility aids
  • mental health counselling, assessments and screening
  • addiction services
  • cultural services from elders
  • specialized summer camps
  • tutoring services and educational assistants
  • speech therapy, and more

Available to Inuit children anywhere in Canada
