Material(s) – Refers to any item created or owned by Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami, including photographs and negatives as well as their reproductions, audio recordings, films, video recordings, and artworks

The permission to publish, exhibit and/or broadcast Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami photographs, audio and/or video, or any other material(s) must be requested and granted in writing through this form, and is granted as a one-time use only. Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami, its departments, as well as the Library and Archives, can only respond and provide permissions to publish or broadcast materials created and produced by ITK. For materials not created by ITK, such as artworks, films, or other original works to which ITK does not hold ownership or authority, it is the responsibility of the Requestor to abide by copyright laws and seek permission from the organization or person who holds the rights to the material.

As the Requestor, you agree with the following conditions:

• The materials, including photographs, audio and visual materials, selected for publication, exhibition or broadcast, remain the property of Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami;
• The materials are for the use of the project only, such as publication, exhibition or broadcast;
• You must credit Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami wherever the materials are used, as well as relevant photographer(s) if applicable;
• You must not modify or make alterations to the material(s) unless explicitly stated in your request, and may do so only if the required permissions from Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami have been granted;
  • If permission has been provided you must indicate in the accompanying credit or caption how the material has been manipulated or altered;
• You must not share these materials with any other organization for any purpose without the explicit
  written consent of Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami;
• You will not republish, reprint, reissue, or reuse the material(s) for another publication, exhibition, or
  broadcast without consulting and submitting another Permissions Request to Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami; and
• You will inform Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami when and where the publication, exhibition or broadcast containing
  the material(s) is made public or accessible.
