ITK President Natan Obed congratulates newly sworn-in Cabinet Ministers

July 18, 2018, Utqiagvik, Alaska — “I would like to extend my congratulations to the newly sworn-in Cabinet Ministers and Cabinet Ministers who have shifted portfolios.  I look forward to seeing how these changes impact the ongoing, collaborative work we are doing with the Federal government on files such as the Inuit Crown Partnership Committee, Arctic Policy Framework, legislation to protect Inuit languages, economic and infrastructure development.

I would also like to acknowledge Ministers who remain with their files with whom we continue to work. Ministers Jane Philpott, Carolyn Bennett, Catherine McKenna, Patty Hajdu, Melanie Joly, Jean-Yves Duclos, Ginette Petitpas-Taylor, and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau remain connected to ITK through the work of the Inuit-Crown Partnership Committee and we are committed to moving forward on our eight joint-priorities and initiatives established through this process.
