On May 30, 2016 the Government of Canada announced an engagement process to update the Nutrition North Canada Program. They will be seeking input from community members and other stakeholders on how the program can be made more “transparent, cost-effective, and culturally appropriate”. The engagement will focus on six themes including:
- Program sustainability/cost effectiveness
- Fairness and consistency
- Expanding program capacity and improving program efficiencies
- Transparency
- Visibility: communications/outreach and
- Engagement innovation
